Catching Up

So, I am home for the weekend! I have been stationed in Pensacola for a month now and things are OK. It is still extremely difficult, but we are doing it and, as usual, we are doing it well.

I got home Friday evening so the drive took me about seven hours, it rained for the first hour or so and although it made me extremely nervous, I didn't stop! Yesterday we had four soccer games.

Mackenzie played three in Clarksville, which is over an hour away, and Rayna had her first scrimmage in Lebannon, which is almost an hour away:D Mackenzie and them didn't fare too well and unfortunately we didn't qualify for Nationals - oh well - we are still so very proud of her!

Rayna made Varsity!!! She rocked yesterday. She scored the third and final goal of the scrimmage - she had great through balls and crosses. She even picked Tori's old number which is 19 and made her big sis happy:D And, she is learning to drive!!! Tori and Dad have taken her a couple of times and apparently she is REALLY good. No, I haven't been yet, I am still recovering from Tori. LOL!

Tori flew to Texas to see Scott on Friday and will be home tomorrow...she heads out this weekend to King for soccer and then will begin her Sophomore year this fall. She is doing great and is supposed to study abroad next summer - Yea, just a little proud!

Dailen has been signed up for soccer and can hardly wait. Her dad will be coaching her and I just love that. Of all of the girls, I worry the most about her, she is, afterall, my baby! But, she is doing great. I think it's harder on me than them.

All of the girls have done so well with the move and the adjustments - I cannot tell you how very proud and blessed I am!

Paul is finishing up his first two classes at Argosy and if he can keep this up will graduate in Dec of 2009. He starts work when school starts and we are so glad that he was hired right away - it's hard on him always having to start over where ever the Navy sends us. But as always he is my rock - he gives me emotional fortitude. He takes such great care of us all!!!

Today, I am going to piddle around the house and we are going to BBQ later, Paul is doing his homework now so that we will have the rest of the day:) Tomorrow is a travel day for me since I am going TAD (Temporary Additional Duty)to FT Rucker, AL the 5th through the 7th and it works out great because now I will be able to take the kids to school for their first day, which is Friday. Then, I will head back to Pensacola a week from today.

The following weekend I am flying back because I found a great deal on an airline ticket! That means I will be here for Rayna's first game and Mackenzie's SRFC soccer tournament.

After that I have duty and won't be back until Labor Day weekend, but it's working! Knock on wood...

I love having her home, so do the girls, but I REALY love having her home. It's a lot more fun to have someone here to talk to and not to constantly just referee disagreements between the syblings.
Love ya,
Paul

Hey guys!
I am so proud of both of you and all of the girls. We as parents, seem to have a more difficult time adjusting than the kids.
Paul, you are an AMAZING dad and you are married to an AMAZING woman!
Love both of you and all my girls!!!!!
