Had a wonderful weekend at home after I was TAD to FT Rucker, Alabama Monday thru Thursday. Unfortunately, Tori's car blew up Wednesday when she was on her way to King...it is DONE! We are currently looking for her another car - Scott is trying to find us a deal. This was not good timing:( Her back is still giving her problems and we are hoping it won't interfere with her soccer season.
Friday was the first day of school - kind of a meet and greet - we did that and then headed to Starbucks! Then, I had to take my car to the shop - 600 bucks! Timing stinks...
Later, I laid out and floated in the pool all alone - the kids played Wii and watched Camp Rock inside. They didn't want to swim, go figure. LOL...I had a great time:D Of course, I got sunburned.
Later, we had dinner with some new friends and it was a lot of fun - the picture is from before we left. Mackenzie had a friend spend the night and Rayna went to a friends house. Me and the Dailen ended the day watching HGTV.
Saturday, Paul and I went to Starbucks and it was fun talking to him without being interrupted:)When we got home, I straighted the house some and did laundry while Paul did homework. Then we went and had lunch before heading out to Rayna's scrimmage late in the afternoon. That night, Paul watched the Chargers with the little ones, while me and Rayna watched TV in my room - I was glad to have her with me - usually she is upstairs doing "teenager" stuff.
This morning we went to Publix and bought stuff for me and stuff for them for the week - it was depressing. When they left for Mackenzie's soccer game, I left for Pensacola...I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach. It is so hard to drive away...
It's such a fine line with the kids...I want them to know that I miss them SO VERY MUCH, but I have to be strong! They can't see me crying, so I wait until I am on the road and then I let the tears fall. I just don't want them to think this is easy, you know? But, I don't want to freak them out, either. They will handle this as well as I do.
So, starts another week.

Car troubles is bad!!!! damn the timing!
If you cried they would probably all breakdown... and it would be chaos... stay strong....
Sounds like a great weekend Leigh Ann! I can only imagine the difficulty, but you are a strong woman and are raising a group of strong young ladies... They will benefit from this experience...wait and see!
