Home for the Holidays!

It was great to be home for Turkey Day! I have some wonderful pictures that I will post in between homework assignments. Paul and I both only have a few weeks left of this semester. Loved seeing everyone and can't wait to be home for good!

To My Mother:

For so long I was angry because you couldn't take care of me
I didn't want to hear about your private demons or struggles
And I never ever wanted to have to leave

For so long I despised your sickness and how it affected me
I didn't want to hear about your disappointments or hardships
And I never ever wanted to have to leave

For so long I ignored you and was only concerned about me
I didn't want to hear about your desires or dreams
And I never ever wanted to have to leave

For so long I held my forgivness close to me
I didn't want to hear about your explanations or reasons
And I never ever wanted to have to leave

I will have to live with my selfishness now for so long
The reasons and pain I didn't want to hear
Will now echo in my life for years and years
And the only excuse I have I will forever sing like a song

That I never ever wanted to have to leave...

I Love You, Mom!
